About the Martinelli GmbH (former 72 Services GmbH)

The Martinelli GmbH is a modern Swiss IT consulting and software development company, with a wealth of years-long experience. We support small, medium-sized, and large businesses in the wholesale and retail, services, education, and government sectors in software development projects and the renovation of their legacy IT systems.

Our results are modern systems and applications using the latest software architecture and system design developments.

Simon Martinelli

Software Architect

Martinelli GmbH was founded in 2009 by our managing director, Simon Martinelli. He is a passionate and experienced expert in Java, performance optimization, and application integration. His strengths include software architecture and system design, among other areas.

Simon Martinelli is a dynamic, innovative leader with more than 27 years of experience implementing efficient solutions as a developer, architect, and technical project manager.

As an active member of the Java development community, he became a Java Champion, a Vaadin Champion, and an Oracle ACE Pro. He has also significantly contributed to the JSR-352 batch applications and the JSR-354 Money and Currency API.

As a part-time lecturer at the Bern University of Applied Sciences and the University of Applied Science of Northwestern-Switzerland, where he teaches the architecture and design of distributed systems, microservices, Spring Framework and Spring Boot, object-relational mapping with Hibernate, DevOps and persistence technologies in Bachelor of Science and continuing education courses
